Radical Approach Of Sustainability On Climate Change

Climate change is all about changes in the weather patterns cause by increase greenhouse gases in the atmosphere. Climate change is basically occurring when a large amount of carbondioxide is release into the air causes the earth temperature to rise. Climate change can also cause by human activities. For example, burning of fossils fuel and the cultivation of lands for agriculture. However, climate change in a radical approach of sustainability is a serious problem because it causes sea level rise, heat and cold deaths, global warming and hurricanes. In this essay, I will discuss the radical approach of sustainability on climate change, the transition concept, deep ecology, and the eco-anarchist and eco-socialist perspectives on climate†¦show more content†¦However, this concept of raising awareness was extended to a wide range of activities. For example, local food production, renewable energy, local currencies and environmental education (Hopkins 2008). Peters (2010) also argue that this form of activities have developed in the UK where the government and researchers have made the case for the voluntary and community sector playing a key role in supporting a transition towards a low- carbon economy. According to Marshall (2007), a wide of potential benefits arising from community-led action on climate change have been highlighted by policy makers, academics and sustainability practitioners.
